In september 1993 the Commercio Frutta company was set up by two founding members with ten years of experience in the commerce of the HAYWARD KIWI. Over the years the company has evolved and broadened its product range to include peaches, nectarines, pears, apricots and strawberries in addition to kiwis. The clientele in Italy, Europe and also outside europe (Asia, United States, Central America) has also grown. In order to give better support to the production chain, Commercio Frutta formed a consortium in 2006 in which the producer members began to take an active part in company decision making. In 2012 the consortium grew further by merging with another italian company which made it possible to extend the production and commercial network. The company has always given importance to innovation, especially as regards renewal of varieties and improvement in quality.
